photographs by Jim Tovey
I have posted a selection of my personal black and white favourites on this website, some of these images have been used to decorate commercial premises and for editorial, others tutorial and exercises. The Kilnsea WWII fort pictures have been in a number of exhibitions others are memories. Most were taken in colour some old enough to have been recorded on film. The sailing photographs are from Cowes 2008.
Kilnsea and Spurn Point are on the East Riding coast in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. The coastal erosion is a continual process that reforms the shape of Spurn Point and has undermined the structural remains of the First and Second World War artillary batteries. The effect of these remains on the developing shape of the coastline can be clearly noticed from both the air and ground.
